What is the scope of civil engineering in India?
Many people have asked me this question, Somehow this is actually related to why someone should opt civil engineering in India. Yesterday I attended a seminar from the UltraTech Cement.
They told a interesting fact that India is a developing country so the 4% of Cement produced is used in Industrial Construction and 22% in Infrastructure, majority of consumption goes in residential household works. That means there's a whole lot of infrastructure development to be done in India & can say still it's evergreen branch of engineering.
Apart from these future predicting facts, being a Civil Engineer you've a number of government & non-government job opportunities all you need is a degree and sound knowledge of technology.
Increasing urbanization has led to rapid construction and betterment of old structures, everyday there's new construction work going on near by you, you have to decide if you want be the doer or the audience.
